Today our travel companions headed home. We were up at the crack of dawn to drive them to the airport. what should have been and hour and a bit drive ended up being two hours their and two hours back. Of course, I haven't been driving at all until today so nothing like navigating through gridlock to get back to the hotel. I seemed to have caught a bug that it making me feel pretty gross so I decided to chill out at the hotel today with a quick trip out to the local shopping area to walk around. The sun was out and the trees have opened since we have been here. It was so pretty here today. Hard not to be at peace when you are surrounded by such beauty.
When you are getting homesick and you are by yourself McDonald's is oddly comforting. Slice and I had a picnic on the grass end enjoyed the sunshine.
If it looks like a Big Mac, smells like a BIg Mac and tastes like a Big Mac it must be a BIg Mac!
Back at the hotel, this afternoon and we have the terrace doors open and we are enjoying the breeze and contemplating a nap.
A lovely quiet day for me and my girl. She is such a pleasure to travel with and I have so enjoyed spending time with just her.
